Welcome To My Site Pattern Pack Gallery Class & Teaching Schedule About me

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to my site.  With one beautiful season changing to the next, I am still hard at work passionately creating new designs and pattern packets.

I have been demonstrating acrylic painting now for over 16 years  and opened my own business, "Simply Cotton" 8 years ago.  Not only do I enjoy my home studio with all of my wonderful students, I also travel teach.  I am fortunate to have had many of my designs published in Paint Works Magazine, Quick & Easy Painting, Painting Magazine and also Coup de Pinceau Magazine with more to come in 2010.  I am a member of SDP (Society of Decorative Painters) and DAIC (Decorative Artists in Canada).  Please click on the above stars to view my pattern packets and calendar for scheduled classes and conventions.

I am also very excited about being one of five 'Signature Artist's' for 'Princeton Art and Brush Co.'  I am not only working with a great team but also with a company that really cares about their product. They are new to the decorative art industry but have been involved with the fine arts for over 12 years.   They have created some very unique brushes that I just love to use.  One of my favorite's is called the 'Lunar Blender.'  It is made with both synthetic and bristle, causing a unique stiffness that works great for drybrushing on both the flat and chisel edge of the brush.  I  also like to use their short liner, which works  wonders on all of those fine little details and on my signature lettering which you will find   in several of my designs.   These brushes can be viewed and ordered at www.willowwolfe.ca

Thank you very much for visiting my site.  I wish you and your family "All the Best In 2010!"  I would like to leave you with my 'Artist's Statement"

It was early one morning as I sat outside enjoying the day, watching in silence at a spider in its web.   At first I studied the spider and then soon became engrossed with the spider’s web.  I was amazed at how perfectly spaced and proportioned the web was and how the weaves were so intricate.  I thought how neat it would be to reproduce this in one of my paintings.  Then I walked out into the field and took a deep breath as I enjoyed the aroma of freshly cut hay.  Painting and designing help us to see beauty in things that we may have once overlooked.  “To Stop and Smell the Roses” so to speak.  May we always see beauty and be inspired by our surroundings.  May we also share this with others in order to teach them how wonderful life can be through words of encouragement, teaching and listening.

Many new pattern packs added!!!
